Mark Clarke managed detailed design, procurement and construction award for a new public road and bridge at Macraes Gold Mine in New Zealand. The road and bridge formed part of a mine extension plan. A separate construction manager managed final construction.
Flood damage at Macraes Gold Mine called for a replacement culvert. Mark Clarke was responsible for its detailed design, procurement and construction. The replacement was a 90 m long, 3.2 m diameter multiplate culvert. The damaged culvert followed a major flood in November 2018.
The new Golden Point Underground Mine needed surface infrastructure, including a mobile workshop, stores, an admin building, a batch plant and administration buildings. Mark Clarke was responsible for detailed design and consenting for the relocation project. Many buildings were relocated from the original Fraser Underground Mine.
At Haile Gold Mine, an upgrade to the ultrafine-grind circuit included detailed design and installation of a Tower and IsaMill. Mark Clarke checked that electrical equipment, instruments and process-control valves were accounted for and procured. He also scoped the process-control upgrade and supported procurement and commissioning.
